Tho Success dredgo washed up last weelc for a return of 460z for 122 hours. The secretary of tho Rise and Shino Company reports tho fallowing returns: —No. 1 dredge, 250z 4dwt for 107 hours; No. 2 dredge, 270z 4dwt for 116 hours. The Nelson Colonist learns that Messrs Krtto and party havo acquired prospecting rights over Glover's* Flat, Anatolri "V alley, Takaka, and if results warrant it a hydraulio sluicing plant will bo put on to the ground within a very short time. A good many years ago a considerable amount of gold was taken from tho river adjoining tho property! now being prospected. The latest return from the Golden Terraco Gold Mining Company (Ltd.), Maori Creek', West Coast, is 21oz for 82 hours of sluicing, in the No. 2 claim. For some timo past development work at tho No. 1 claim has been proceeded with, and tho management report that they aro now ready to start sluicing operations on this portion of tho company's property, in which ■ case* regular returns may bo expected, as tho No. 1 proposition is said to bo a very good one.
