In exercise of the powers vested in mo by "Tho Animals Protection Act, 1908," I, ARTHUR WILLIAM DE BRITO SAVILE, E-.l of Liverpool, tho Governor of the Dominion of Now Zealand, do hereby EXEMPT from tho operation of Section 26 of tho said Act the Otago Acclimatisation District, and do hereby notify that tho following Imported Game —viz., Californian Quail and Mallard Duck (English Wild Duck) may bo killed within the Otago Acclimatisation District (except with respect to Californian Quail in the areas mentioned in tho First Schedule hereto), comprising tho Counties of Vincent, Maniototo, Waihomo, Waikouaiti, Taieri, Peninsula, Tuapeka, Bruce, Clutha, and part of tho County of Southland, being] all that area in tho Provincial District of Otago bounded on tho cast and south by the ocean from Shag Point to the mouth oi the Mataura. River; on tho west, south-west, and south by the Mataura River and the Counties of Southland and Wallace; on the north-wes.t by the ocean; and on the north, north-west, and north-east by the Counties of Wcstland and Waitaki (excepting therefrom tho County of Lako and tho areas mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto), from, tho first day of MAY, ono thousand nin© hundred 'find sixteen, to tho 31st day of JULY, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, both days inclusive. And I do also notify that LICENSES to kill such Imported Game within tho said District shall be ISSUED to any person on payment of the sum of TWENTY SHILLINGS; and the Chief Postmaster at Dunedin and the Postmasters at Alexandra, Clyde, Cromwell, and Roxburgh are hereby _ authorised to Sign and Issue the said Licenses to kill Imported Game. A straight line commencing from the north-eastern corner of Macraes Township (Section 63, Block I, Highlay) to the moutn of the Shaft River; thence by tho ocean to the mouth of tho Tokomairiro River; thence by straight lino to tho moet southern portion of Waipori Town; thence by the western boundary of tho said town; then by straight line to the iouthern corner of the Town of Macraes; thence by western boundary of the said! town to the northern boundary of Section 54, Block I, Highlav; thenco per line to tho north-western boundary of aforesaid District to the commenoing-point. SECOND SCHEDULE. 1. All that area, in the Greenvale Survey District described in the 'New Zealand Gazette No. 81, of the sth October, 1899, page 1870. 2. All that area in the Otago Land District known as the Hawksbury Domain (see Now Zealand Gazette No. 93, of tho Bth November, 1900, page 2033). 3. Tho Lagoon Reserve in tho Borough of Hawksbury (see New Zealand. Gazetto No. 4, of the 10th January, 1901, page 70). 4. All that area between Milford Sound and Lake Te Anau (sco New Zealand Gazette No. 10, of the 6th February, 1902, page 240). ' 5. Tho Lagoon known as the Tomahawk Lagoon, Otago Peninsula6. All that area -n tho Otago Land District described in the Now. Zealand Gazette No. 50, of the 26th May, 1910, page 1589, and known as. tho Outram Lagoons' 7. All that area near the Waipiata Township, Maniototo Survey District, in the Otago Land District, described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 43, of tho 30th April, 1914, page 1586. 11. All that area in the Otago Land District, being that part of the Taieri River from the suspension bridge at Middlemarch to the bridge at Ngapuna, and the area included in lines running parallel to, and three chains distant from, the said part of tho Taieri River on both sides of that river. 12. Also all that area in the said District being Section No. 9, Block 22, Strath-Taieri Survey District. 13. All that area, in the Otago Land District, the properties of Mr J. Crawford Anderson, of Stirling, and Mr J. Wilcocks, comprising Sections Nos. 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block XIII, and part of Section No. 2, Block XIV, North Molyneux Survey District. 14.
