RAILWAY MISHAP
TRAIN RUNS INTO TRUCKS. A MASS OP WRECKAGE. (Pbb United Press Association.) HAMILTON, April 18. A goods train crashed into a number of standing trucks at Horotiu station late last night. Fifteen wagons laden with goods and a splintered engine are buried beneath the debris. The driver (Bates) and the fire man (Hardcastlc) both escaped injury. AUCKLAND, April 18. In consequence of the railway mishap at Horotiu, near Hamilton, the through, expresses were unable to pass over the damaged line, and the passengers were transferred to the Wellington express, arriving here four hours late N.Z.E. ANNOUNCEMENT IN RE BAGGAGE. During holidays there is always a scramble for baggage, a crush for fokete. The New Zealand Express Company's checking system saves all bother. The company collects baggage, places on train, receives on arrival, delivers immediately. Issues railway tickets also. But advise early. Railway busy at Easter.
