BIG ENTRIES. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.' SYDNEY, April 18. (Received April 18, at 11.6 p.m.) There was a big attendance on the judging day of the Royal Show. The exhibits in nearly all the sections were good. The total entries numbered 8288, compared with 6976 last year. Flavinius was awarded the championship in thoroughbred stallions, and Bessicalfe gained the championship for mares. (Received April 18, at 11.20 p.m.) Mr Fred Fairey, of Nelson, secured the first prize for Durham fat ox, and also for cow. In the sheep classes, Mr J. Nixon, of Killinchy, secured the first and champion for English.Leicester ram over two years, | second for ram under two years; first for ram under one year, second for ewe over two years, second for ewe under two years, and first for ewe underone year. In the heavy Clydesdale horses, Messrs Mitchell and O'Brien, of Oamaru, secured the second prize for stallion over three years, and first for stallion under three years. In the draughts, Mr D. M'Lure, of Christchurch, secured first place and also second place for stallion under four years. Messrs Mitchell and O'Brien secured first and second for stallions under three years, second and reserve champion for mare over four years, and second for mare under four years. Ribbonwood was awarded first place and> champion honours among the trotting horses.
