DUNEDIN FANCIERS' CLUB
A meeting of the committee of the above | club was held in Mr E. S. Wilson's board room on Wednesday evening. Mr W. Esquilant presided: It was resolved to convey the thanks of the club to Mr F. C. Brown for the interesting lecture he delivered on the selection and judging of utility poultry. Tho Secretary of the Leghorn and Minorca Club forwarded special prizes to bo competed for at tho annual show on July 13, 14, and 15. The Otago Egg Circle wrote advising that an egg circle had been formed in Dunedin, and asking tho support of the members.—Received. Mr R. Conn was appointed as the clubs delegate to a special meeting of the South Island Association at Christcnurch on April 22 The secretary submitted some suggestions in oonection with the children's pet section, which were approved. *he olub intifada to make this section a special feature this year. Twelve members of the committee offered special prizes for this section at the meeting. The following judges have been appointed for the show:—Utility poultry, Mr F. O. Brown; all other classes of poultry, Mr T. Johnson; fancy pigeons, Mr S. A. Lindsay; homer pigeons, Mr E. J. Reeves; canaries and cage birds, Mr W. T. Hill; cats, Mr J. Kerr; children's pets, Mr H. Brownhe; spaniels, Mr R. Conn; all other breeds of dogs, Mr C. E. Cutts (Wellington). The South Island championships wfll be held in connection with the Dunedin Club's show, and the New Zealand Kennel Club has allotted the olub the following challenge classes for competition:—Cocker spaniels, Scottish terriers, Airedale terriers, and bull- .
