DUNDAS STREET METHODIST CHOIR.
ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual meeting of the Dimdas Street Methodist Choir took place on Thursday evening. The roport presented and adopted stated that, with deep gratitude, the measure of divine blessing which had rested upon the choir's united efforts was acknowledged. Never in the history of the Empire had the nation been engaged in such an awful conflict as at present. Mq,ny ministers and members of the churches and choirs had gone forth to fight for the cause of freedom and righteousness. They were to be congratulated in responding so nobly to the call of King and country. It would bo earnestly hoped that right would be speedily restored and peace would reigiV aig«in. The .following officers were elected':—• President, Mr C. W. Wilkinson; secretary,. Miss B. Devine; treasurer, Miss A. Cable; librarian, Mr J. Sheppard. The following supplied vocal and elocutionary items during the evening:—Tho Rev. W. Bratt. Mrs Boor, Miss Griffith, Messrs Young and Proctor, and Miss Mansell. after which refreshments were provided, by Mr and Mrs Young. The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
