A partner in a wellknown Masterton firm picked up in the street a military notification card, which requested the person to whom it had been addressed to report at Trentbam next Tuesday (says the Wairarapa Times). He posted this to his partner, who subsequently received it and used violent language in connection with .what he termed tho inconsiderate attitude of the military. in asking him to go into camp without due notice and before all the single men had been called up, he being under tho impression that tho notification was tho outcome of the National Register. — A man sft lOin in height is about Kulf an inch taller in tho morning than in the evening.
