(Received March 16, at 9.50 p.m.) In the -wool market a better tone continues, and at to-day's sales prices for'all classes were maintained. The following prices were realised for the fleece portions of the New Zealand clips named : —Oranga, top .average 21id; Tauroa, top 23d, average 18j|d; Jaidhou, top 18§d, average 18£ d; Tangihou, top 18d, average 17|d.
BRISBANE SERIES., BRISBANE, March 16. At the wool sales to-day a good proportion of the offerings showed the effects of tho adverse season, and there were numerous withdrawals. The competition for best" classes was keen a,ti ull late rates ; mediums and scouredg were's per cent, lower; while inferiors and irregular showed a 7£ to 10 per cent, decreasa. » ' '
