OVERSEAS CLUB.

The work of mailing up wrappers and slippers for the soldiers in Pont do Koubbeh Hospital is steadily progressing, i The material on hand, however, will soon be made up, and the committee will be glad of monetary donations or material to go on with the work. The wrappers are being made up of grey blanket material, and the slippers of felt. Pieces of old carpet are used for making soles for the slippers. The Belgian boxes are being steadily filled as time goes on. The committee looks to the public to encourage its efforts by sending the wherewithal Tho committee returns thanks to the following donors:—Per Mrs E. Davis, Gimmerburn (for Wool Fund), Mr and Mrs Helm, ss; H. Helm, 2s 6d; G. Helm, 2s 6d; J. Kerr, 2s 6d; E. Davis, 2s 6d Harold and Bell Davis, ss. These little children collected birds' eggs, sold them, and sent the proceeds to, bo spent on wool for soldiers' socks. The children of Romahapa School sent in a large collection of, stamps to be disposed of in aid of the distressed. The committee returns thanks to the children for their noble effort. Miss Jones, Belgian clothing; Mrs Webster, 10s patch quilt; Mrs Davis (Gimmerburn), 3 pairs socks, 2 sets pyjamas; Miss Brownlie, ■clothing and boots; "J. M. 5.," balaclava; "Imperialist," large parcel babies' underclothing. .
