MASONIC INSTALLATION

Tho official ceremony of installation of Bro. Thomas Graham Henderson as Right Worshipful Master of Lodgo St. John. S.C.. Milton, took place 011 Wednesday evening. The District Grand Lodge was represented by 11.VV. Bro. 1). Oooko, D.G.M. (N.Z. South), and Grand Lodge oiiiccra. Amongst those present was V.W. Bro. J. S. Webb, P.D.G., S.W. Otago and Southland (E.G.). The R.W.M. elect was presented, and, having assented to the ancient rules and charges, was obligated by V.W. Bro. W. M'K-inlay, S.D.G.M. A board of installed Masters was then formed, and the Right Worshipful Master iustalled by the forementioned S.D.G.M.. The R.W.M. then invested his I. P.M., Bro. Manly H. Hitchon, and tho brethren were recalled, and the usual salutations and proclamations accorded. Tho other officers of Lodge St. John were afterwards invested into their respective positions by V.W. Bro. H. 0. Carter, D.G.M. depute. The address to the Right Worshipful Master was given by V.W. Bro. J. S. Webb, P.D.G., S.W. Ougo and Southland (E.C.); to tho Wardens by V.W. Bro. K. Abbott, District Grand Secretary; and to tho brethren by V.W. Bro. W. A. Wilkinson, S.D.G.W.. Tho addresses were responded to by the newly-installed R.W.M. The ceremony concluded with the singing of tho hymn " Abide With Me," Fast Fall tho Even Tido," prayer by Chaplain Bro. Rev. James Morland, and the closing of the Volume of the Sacred Law.' Congratulations and bfcsfc wishes were extended towards Lodge St. John by the District Grand Lodge officers and visiting brethren, and the installation ceremonial concluded with the usual honours.
