A meeting of the Labour Council attempted to debate a motion endorsing the action of the Broken Hill strikers, but the speakers were interrupted and hooted, the meeting having to be adjourned through 'the disorder. The Amalgamated Liquor Trades Union and the Railway and Tramway Association have voted money to the strikers from their funds.
