Mails for Australian States (except New South Wales and Queensland) and South Africa? per Paloona, will close at Wellington this day (Saturday), sth inst., at 7.45 p.m. Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji, per Talune, will close at Auckland on Monday, 7th inst., at 8.45 a-m. Note.—As correspondence for all neutraj oountries is subject to censorship, it is urged, in order to avoid delays, that such correspondence bo posted in ample time for tho mail, the day previous to its despatch, if possible. Money orders for places within the dominion close one hour before advertised time of closing letter mails. Money orders for places beyond the dominion for despatch by tho North or South Express close at 4 p.m. the previous day.

The late fee is Id in addition to ordinary postage. The late-fee box on Second North Express is available for letters only. Registered mails close one hour before advertised time of closing ordinary mails. Book packets, commercial papers, and newspapers close half an hour before the advertised time of letter mails. Wm.
