The weekly meeting of the Otago Patriotic and Recruiting Committee waa held in the Town Hall yesterday, Lieutenant-colonel Stoncham presiding. Letters were received from the_ Minister of Defence in reference to advertising for recruits, end a sab-com-mittee wns appointed to form a deputation to wait upon the executive of the Anzac Club with a view to co-operating in recruiting work. It was decided to hold a recruiting meeting on Friday at the Town Hall.
