MURDERS IN MEXICO
BANDITS TO BE PUNISHED. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright 'WASHINGTON, January 14. President Wilson has communicated with President Carranza demanding the immediate punishment of Villa and his bandits, and urging the despatch of troops to other districts where American lives and property are imperilled. A party of 14 Americans who went in search of the bodies of the 18 Americans who were killed were accompanied by a Mexican military escort and machine guns. They found the corpses, stripped and piled in a heap, and brought them to El Paso. They also brought news that Villa's followers had killed 10 Americans and two Englishwomen, one the wife of Captain Leftbridge, a Tetired army officer residing at Chihuahua. WASHINGTON, January 14. Mr Roosevelt demands immediate intervention in Mexico. President Wilson is content if President Carranza punishes the bandits, and the latter has agreed to do his best.
