As will bo soon by tho appended figures, the offerings—approximate, it must bo remombercd—do not coins up to tho total for tho corresponding sale of last year. Tho anticipated shortage U accounted for by several reasons—the weather has been broken, shearers in some districts have been scarce, clips which have ■usually oorae to the salo -rooms have boen disposed of privately, and, moreover, at the first sale last December 1509 bales more were on offer than at the December salo of 1914.
