LONDON, January 12. The Daily News Rome correspondent states that an illegitimate son of King Milan, who has been residing in Vienna since the war, has been sent to Belgrade and proclaimed King of Serbia. THE FALL OF LOVTCHEN. LACK OF AMMUNITION. MONTENEGRIN CAPITAL TRANSFERRED. AMSTERDAM, January 12. An Austrian communique states : We captured 26 guns at Lovtchen. ROME, January 12. The fall of Lovtchen was due to lack of ammunition. As Lovtchen commands Cettinje, the capital has been transferred to Podgoritza, 17A miles north-east of Cettinje. ANOTHER DISILLUSIONMENT. AGAIN TOO LATE. LONDON, January 12. The Daily Chronicle's Milan correspondent states that the capture of Lovtchen brings a bitter and sorrowful disillusionment. The press and the great mass of the people consider that it equals a grave national defeat. II Secolo states that Montenegro is left with 25,000 defenders, and now resembles Serbia. It is now feared that the Austrians will sweep over Northern Albania. It is another exasperating instance of being too late. MONTENEGRIN REPULSE. AN AUSTRIAN REPORT. VIENNA, January 12. (Received Jan. 13, at 5.5 p.m.) The Echo de Paris says that able-bodied Serbian children have been transported to Austria and Germany to work in the fields and factories. Only old people and 1 babies remain in Serbia. ' STARVING SERBIAN TROOPS. TRANSFERRED TO CORFU. ; ATHENS, January 13. ! (Received Jan. 13, at 10 p.m.) The Entente Powers have notified < Greece that in order to save the Serbian - army from starvation they will be trans- . ferred to Corfu. A French force has been ' landed to make preparations, but this must ] not be regarded as occupation. The i troops have occupied Achilleion.
