RECENT NAVAL BOMBARDMENT. ADMIRAL BACON'S DESPATCH. LONDON, January 12. Rear-admiral Reginald Bacon's despatch, covering operations on the Belgian coast from August to December, reveals that a British armed yacht was sunk by gunfire and a drifter and a mine-sweeper were .sunk by - mines, the total casualties being 34 men killed and 24 wounded. " Operations," states the despatch, " comprised six concerted operations of considerable magnitude and eight smaller ones. The enemy lost a torpedo-boat and two submarines. We destroyed three military factories, 13 heavy guns, and many depots, and we did extensive damage to the Zeebrugge locks, also the wharves, moles, and various places. Our killed included Lieutenant-com-mander Henry T. Gartside-Tipping, tho oldest naval officer afloat." GERMAN OFFICIAL REPORT. AMSTERDAM, January 12. A German, communique states that the French attack collapsed north, of Le nil. EXPLOSION AT LILLE. BRITISH PLOT ALLEGED. AMSTERDAM, January 12. The explosion of the magazine at Lille is believed to have been the result of an English plot. It seriously damaged the adjacent streets. Seventy inhabitants were killed and 40 wounded. '
