WAR PENSIONS BOARD
(Pee United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, January 12. At its last meeting the War Pensions Board granted to members 10 pensions and 22 allowances, three applications being declined and five adjourned, and to dependents 29 pensions and one allowance, four being declined and one adjourned. This makes a total of 39 pensions and 23 allowances granted, seven applications declined, and six adjourned. Ut> to date 444 pensions, representing an annual value of £20,277, havo been granted. Of these 53 were granted to soldiers, 93 to wives, including children, and 288 to other dependents. Tho average pensions are as follows: — Soldiers, £56; wives, including children, £88; other dependents, £29. Eighty-eight allowances havo been granted to date, representing £2193 15s.
