A supply of materials for holdalls and other articles is to hand, and workers are invited to attend. MORNINGTON. A number of eockss balaclava caps, and holdalls were received at the Mornington Counoil Chambers on Tuesday for the reinforcements, also a largo quantity of cakes of all kinds for the soldiers' farewell. These were all packed and sent to the Early Settlers' Hall. Thanks are due to the following ladies for sewing soldiers' comforts during the holidays:—Mcsdames Blyth, Cantwell, Haig, Harvey, Reay, Waite, and Litolff, Misses D. Purvis, Smith, Low, Cantwell, and Joachim. The Belgian house-to-house canvas is to be done as usual this month. Several hundreds of holdalls are required for the beginning of February, and Misses Rattray and Goerin will be at the chambers on Thursday evening at 8 o'clock to givo out material. AD who possibly can are requested to help, as they are urgently needed. Patterns will bo given with lie material, and being unlined, they are quite 6imply and quickly mnde.
