SILVER MINTAGE
FIRST COINS STRUCK IN AUSTRALIA. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, January 12. (Received Jan. 12, at 10.25 p.m.) The State Governor to-day visited' the Mint and struck the first silver coin minted in Australia. £500,000 in silver currency is required.
