A DISCLAIMER. LONDON, November 14. The Observer accepts Mr Israel Zangw ill's explanation of his article published in America as being sarcastic, and having been misunderstood. He complains of the contortions of it by the American press. Mr Zangwill was credited with saying that British recruiting speeches garve the impression that Christ had enlisted in Kitchener's army, and that the Madonna, was one of the women munition workers.
