CANTERBURY METROPOLITAN SHOW.

„ \ (Pkb United Phess Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, November 11. Ihe Canterbury A. and P. Association's metropolitan show opened to-day in fine hot weather. In the sheep classes, Corritv dales were the leading breed represented both in numbers and quality. They were much ahead of anything previously seen in the section, and the entries made them the sheep of the show. All the leading brooders were represented, including Messrs C. H. Ensor (White Rock), Leonard. White Rakaia); Hugh Ensor (Rakahuri), New Zealand and Australian Land Co.' (Moeraki Estate), John Stringfellow (Chertsey), G D. Greenwood (Teviotdale). and W "Mackintosh (Loburn). The Shorthorn section was easily the strength of tho cattle display. Competition was confined to local breeders, but nevertheless tho display was good.
