THE DARDANELLES
A D.S.O.'S VIEWS. WOULD NOT BLAME THE GOVERNMENT. SYDNEY, November 11. (Received Nov. 11, at 10.45 p.m.) In the- House of Commons, Mr J. C. Wedgwood, winner of the D.S.O. in the Dardanelles, approved of the campaign, though it was a gamble. He declined to blame the Cabinet because it turned out badly. We ought to put up with losses without talking of the decline of British prestige. The Suvla Bay landing was very unfortunate. The general was responsible, and should be dealt with in the same effective manner as military failures in France. AUSTRALIAN CASUALTIES. SYDNEY, Novemmber 11.
