TIMARU DOG SHOW
iPsu United Press Association.! TIMARU, October 23. The South Canterbury Kennel Club held its second annual show yesterday and today. There were 127 entries. Bulldogs were the most numerous section, and the judge considered them the best lot. Cocker spaniels wero- also numerous, and setters, terriers,, and white poodles were good. Two championships were allotted to this show— smooth-haired collies (no entry) and Skye terriers (two. entries). The prize for Skye terriers was awarded to Mrs F. Waddell. At a meeting of members of the various clubs, it was decided to hold a meeting at Christchurch during' show week to consider the ' question of forming an independent South Island association. Discontent was expressed at the treatment of the South Island by the New Zealand Association.
