LONDON, July 10.—Sailed: Waimarino and Hawke's Bay, for New Zealand. The Kaitangata completed her disehargo on Saturday morning, and sailed for Westport. After loading a big cargo of produce, the Whangape left early yesterday morning for Melbourne. Having completed the discharge of her case oil cargo at the Victoria wharf, the oil steamer Physa sailed on Saturday afternoon for Bluff and Sydney. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Tongariro is expected to leave Lyttelton to-day for Dunedin, where she will complete the discharge of her Canadian cargo. Mr Campbell, late purser of the Maitai, has come over from Sydnev to join tho troops at Trentham. Mr J. B. Smith, late purser of the Talune, has joined the hospital ship Maheno as purser. R.M.S. Niagara is due to arrive at Auckland to-day from Sydney, and will sail again to-morrow for Vancouver, via Suva and Honolulu. The R.M.S. Makura is due to arrive at Auckland on July 25 from Vancouver, via way ports, and will sail for Sydney on July 26. Mr A. Davison, formerly an engineer in the employ of the New Zealand Shipping Company, has been granted a sub-lieuten-ancy in tho navy. He sailed from Liverpool on April 17 to join an armoured cruiser on the west coast of Africa. Engineer Commander Mackenzie, until recently Admiralty representative at Westport, has been appointed to a battleship now building Dalgety and Co., local agents for the U.S. and A. Line, have been advised by cable that the steamer Canastota, of the above line, has been delayed five days at Panama Canal while en route from New York to Wellington. The vessel's detention is believed to be duo to another slide at tho Culebra Cut.
