TO THE EDITOR.

Sir,— All your intelligent readers who take an interest in the beauty of the St. Clair Beach should take a run out in the tram in order to see the beach now. Beautiful white sand is piled up in immense quantities along the whole length of the esplanade, and recent extension of the esplanade in rock work, and at low water there is a smooth sandy beach about 500 ft wide along the whole front. I take this opportunity £o apologise for any support I may have given to any of the criticisms that were levelled at the works recently carried out by the eitv engineer. I had thought the sand would never come back.—l am, etc.. Ratepatkb.
