PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
The regular meeting of the Peninsula Koad Board •was held on Saturday, and was attended by Messrs Fairbairn (chairman), Black, Aitken, Pryde, and Weir The clerk reported that Mr Kitto had lesigned his position as surfaceman.—lt was decided to invite applications for a surfaceman for the. Highcliff subdivision, and. also to invite, tenders lo quarry and spall stone in Porterfield s quarry and Duckworth quarry.
.Mr Nyhon asked tho board to form a piece of road leading to his property at Sandyrncmnt. Tho clerk to inspect this road, with power to act. The clerk was instructed to write to Constable .Rings, requesting him to take the •t/fosssary steps to abate tho etraying horse and oattle nuisance on the public roads Accounts amounting to £54 6s 8d were passed for payment.
