DIFFICULTY OF SECIIEENG SPACE. (FBOK Oo* OWM COBRISPOKDMT.) INVEBCAEGrII/L, March 22.. Mr J. It. Scott (secretary of the South Island. Dairy; Association) has sent ou£ the following circular .letter to. dairy factory companies :• —" There will be no shipment of cheese from Bluff by the Botoiua. The shipping company says that the Government has allotted all the space to meat. •1 have been in communication .with the Prime Minister, who denies this. : The shipping company stall asserts that this is so, and consequently I cannot book any space by the Rotonia from Bluff, but I am trying to arrange -with the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company for a steamer at; Bluff early in April to.take all the cheese available. This I hope to announce in a circular early. I hawe been in daily communication' -with the Government and the shipping company on this matter, without effect as yet. The position is a most unsatisfactory one, bofh to South Island nnd North Island dairymen, and I am doing my best, to have matters put right."
