SEVEN LITTLE AUSTRALIANS.
The box plan for Mr Beaumont Smjth'a production of Ethel Turnqir's fascinating play, "Seven Little will b9 opened at the Bristol this morning, and, if Wellington and other New Zealand cities can be taken as a criterion, there should be heavy booking for the season, which will commence at His Majesty's Theatre oa Thursday _ evening. "Seven Little Ausi tralians" is the name of a play in which seven children appear among "a company of adult actors. It is said that never before has so much juvenile genius been gathered together in the one band, and never before has there been presented a play quite so unique. The seven little Australians are merely characters in a sweet and wholesome story in which' there figures an old and lovable doctor (Harrington Reynolds) and his rugged but kind-hearted housekeeper (Bertha). The heroine is little Miss Bobbie, a red-headed little lady, who is the daughter of Captan Lennox, a disrated armv man, 1 and her adventures among the old Actor's happy family form the basis of a charming four-act play, which captivated all Svdney for nine continuous weeks. The merrv pranks of the seven children (the cleverest of whom, by the way, is played by Cecil Haines, a little New Zealander, whose acting created a sensation in Australia) among the haple® adults naturally Tfppeal to the children on tlio other S'de of the footlights, who see themselves imitated on the stage* For this reason a special children's matinee will be given on Saturday afternoon.
