DESIGNS INVITED. (Pes United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, February 22. An interesting- suggestion is made by the Minister of Defence (the Hon. J. Allen) in regard to New Zealand nurses who aro shortly to bo sent to tho front A specimen badge, he stated, had been submitted to him, but ho decided to put it on one side and request those of the public who feel so inclined to send in designs in order that the badge shall be of a distinctly New Zealand character, representing tho best that New Zealanders can do in that particular lino. Any such ttasign should bo posted so as to rrach Miss Maclean (matron in charge at Wellington) by tho Ist March. Each design must bear on it the sender's nom do plume, and the envelope in which it is sent must contain a sealed envelop giving the sender's name and address.
