PICNIC.
The Pacific Harrier and Amatcui Athletic Club held its second annual picnic at Ilinkley's Bay on Saturday. As the weather was ideal for an outing, a largo number of members and friends journeyed down by the s.s. Waikana. Games and sports were participated in, and thoroughly enjoyed. Results:— 75yds Ladies' Race (Long Skirts).—Miss E. Perkins 1, Miss E. Burrow 2. 75yds Lndies' Race (Short Skirts).—Trixie Cnldcr 1. Jean Campbell 2. Egg-and-Spoon Race—There were numerous entries, ami the event was run off in heats. First heat: Miss L. Clark 1. Miss Linda Oalder 2. Second heat: Miss 0. Brown 1. Mrs J. Drumm 2. Third heat: Miss A. Knowles 1. Miss E. Burrow 2. Finn.]; Miss E. Burrow 1, Miss Linda Caldcr ?.. Consolation Race.—Mrs J. Drumm 1, Mips M Burrow 2. Mr D. J. Calder presented the prizes to the successful competitors. Aftrr tea dancinrr and sinking were indulged in until 7.30. when it was time to prepare for going koine. The members of the Gold Crest OHb gave the use of their piano and house. The party reached Hunrdin at 8.45, after a most enjoyable outing.
