BEACH POLLUTION.

Sin.—Cannot, tho -united wisdom of the Drainage Board contrive some means of stopping the present pollution of our beautiful Dmiedin beaches? One of tho most beautiful of these is the second Tomahawk Beach. Walkin.tr along this beach this (Friday) morning for the purpose of goinp into the surf, T was disgusted to discover unmistakable signs of pollution from the outfall, stretohing from the headland to opposite Bird Island. Indeed, it was with difficulty that T found a clean stretch of sand from which to take my dip. Surely something can be done to mend this unsavoury stato of things.—l am, eto., Disgusted.
