AMUSEMENTS.
PRINCESS THEATRE. On Mondaj evening the FuUer-Brennan firm will present a completely new vaudeville company at Dunedin, embracing artists of distinction, comprising Keen and Waller, two olever comedy acrobats; also George Whitehead, a vocalist, and the possessor of an exceptional baritone voioe, which he is said to use with artistry. The Corriok family of musicians and entertainers, a gifted combination, will be returning here after an absence of some years. This company will take up the first part of the bill. Wong Sun Toy will present an Oriental turn that, for interest and gorgeous setting is said to be particularly good. George Melrose will oomo with good repute as an entertainer. Other featnres inchade tho Barclay Sisters and Neil Cant. Tho box plan is at the Bristol Piano Company's premises. FULLER'S PICTURES. "The Fringe on the Glove" picture proved exceedingly interesting to a very large number of patrons at tho King's Theatre last evening, and the other items of the programme were also received with hearty demonstrations of approval. Tho same films will be screened at the matinee end during to-day's usual sessions. HAYWARD'iS PICTURES. The current programme at the Octagon Theatro is headed by a dramatic study, entitled "A Million Bid." The screening of the film occupies the whole of the second part of tho evening, and the subject is ono of enthralling interest. Many excellent war pictures and other films are shown. Tho usual matinee will be held this afternoon, and the pictures will be shown for the last time to-night. The Battle of the Sexes. For Monday night on excellent programme is promised. A 400Cft drama by tho Dominion Picture Photo-play Company (London), entitled "The Battle of the Sexes," will be presented, tho supporting pictures being "An Absent-minded Cupid (an Edison comedy drama), "From Christiania to Bergen" (an enchanting travel picture of Norway), and other excellent films. Seats for the season can bo booked at tho Bristol Piano Company's premises. QUEEN'S THEATRE. The Keystone comedy. "Caught in a Cabaret," continues to draw largo crowds to each of tho sessions at the Queen's Theatre. Tho scenes in previous pictures in which Charles Cbaplin and Mabel Normand have appeared have been so irresistible in mirth-provoking qualities that it is not surprising that the present picture is meeting with so much success. A number of excellent supporting comedies and dramas are screened, and the whole series will be shown at the usual hours to-day. PLAZA PICTURES A very lino educational picture, entitled "Among the Clouds," occupies pride of place at tho Plaza Picture Palace. This film depicts a Now York skyscraper in the making, and the views of artisans working 700 ft up in the ait and masons swinging with apparent unconcern over an awful abyss cause some queer sensations in the spectator. The Seiig Company contributes the ohief drama, "The Ordeal," and there are many other varied films, which will be shown at the matineo, and for the last time to-night. KING EDWARD THEATRE. The current picture programme drew, a capital attendance to the King Edward Theatre last evening, and those present were favoured with a capital entertainment "The Express Messenger," in particular, being received with marked favour. This capital film is well supported by a number of very interesting subjects, and should atract good attendances this afternoon and evening, when the same programme will be submitted.
