ITALIAN EARTHQUAKE
HEAVY FALL OF SNOW. WORK OF RESCUE HAMPERED. (Times and Sydney Snn Services.) LONDON, January 28. The town of Avezzano is under snow, and soldiers are working day and night to maintain the road nninterropted. Only dead bodies are now being recovered. Towns have been converted into vast marshes, which, owing to torrential rains, are becoming pestilential from the putrefaction of the carcases under the debris. Twelve thousand refugees are sheltering in Rome.
