Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 26. The Admiralty announces that all ships and destroyers returned safely. The Indomitable towed the Lion, whose forward compartments were flooded by a shell below the water-line. The Liberty towed the Meteor (a destroyer), which was disabled; Doth vessels were guarded by strong escorts. The destroyer's repairs will be speedily effected. The total casualties are:— Lion—Seventeen wounded. Tiger—One officer and nine men killed; three officers and eight men wounded. Meteor—Four killed and one wounded.

PERTH, January 27.

A wounded French reservist, invalided home to the New Hebrides from Ypres, estimates that France will haive 6,000,000 men in the spring.
