DUNEDIN AMATEUR BOATING CLUB. 'Jlie Ducedin Amateur Boating- Club's Pair-oar Kaoe was concluded on Friday evening, and resulted as follows:— First Round. —C. Tyson (stroke) and G. Steele beat J. Slight (stroke) and W. 'lhompson; T. Francis (stroke) awl A. Andrews beat J. Mahoney (stroke and L). Robertson; F. Anderson (stroke) and K Bryant beat VV. Mills (stroke) and H. Foote; T. llodgson (stroke) and T. Anderson beat iS. Wood (stroke) and E. Footo. Second Round. —F. Anderson (stroke) and E. Bryant beat T. Franc-is (stroke) and A. Andrews; T. llodgson (stroke) and T. Anderson beat (J. Tyson (stroke) and G. Sterile. Final.—F. Anderson (stroke) and E. Bryant boat T. Hodgson (stroke) and T. Anderson. The final was rowed in a beam sea. Mr J. Slight got both crews away together. Hodgson, who drew tho shore position, kept in close to get the cairn water, a movo which Anderson quickly followed, and gained half-a-length lead. The two crews kept the same position until near tlio post, where Anderson, with a good dash, passed his opponent with two lengths to spare.
