DRAINAGE BOARD REPORTS.
The following reports will be presented at tho next meeting of tho Drainage Board: —
The Finance Committee reports that accounts amounting to £2807 9s 9d examined and passed by tho Works Committee were passed for payment. Accounts amounting to £7117 Is lOd were passed for payment Of tliis amount £6932 18s 8d was lor debenture interest. Since tho kist meeting of 'the committee the sum of £830 8s 6d has been paid iuto the credit of the board's aggregato fund. P;v-8 books were laid on the table, showing:—Loan account (debit), £44,301 13s Id; aggregate fund (credit), £1193 14s.
The Works Committee reports having accepted A. and J. Burk's tender of £35 19a 6d for druin-in-oomm.on, Cornhill street, North-Ka>t Valley. Tenders have been invited for dra.in-in-comnion, Douglas street, and Prince Albert road; drain-in-common, Dudley place, and Braeview crescent; eontract No. 702, area No. 2, Kaikorai. Tiie commit,tee recommends the hoard to extend the existing work at Queen's orescent.. Carlton Hill, 264 ft, to serve a. house about, to bo erected, provided the owner of the section pays the first year's interest on the cost of tho work.
