RAVENSBOURNE REGATTA COMMITTEE
ANNUAL MEETING. The, twenty-seventh annual meeting of the Itavensbourne Re.pat.ta Committee was held in tho bout shed last evening. The Commodore (Mr H. K. Moller) presided, and there was a small attendance of memliers. Tho Secretary read the annual balance sheet, which showed a balance of £50 lis lOd to credit, after paying all expenses. Jn moving the adoption of the balance sheet, the Commodore said tlie annual regatta was in no way connected with the local boating club, although it usually fell on tho shoulders of the latter to organise and carry it on in the interests of the district generally. In the past the residents had patronised tho regatta very liberally, and this feature liad served to popularise the district.. Last year's regatta had boen carried out very successfully, and in order to achieve that result a great deal of work had devolved upon their secretary (Mr Peter Young), who had carried out his duties in a very praiseworthy manner. The motion was carried. On the motion of Mr Gregory, seconded by Mr Ilarridge, it was resolved to hand over the profits of the forthcoming regatta to the Belgian Relief Fund. The following office-bearers were elected for tho ensuing season : —Commodore, Mr H. E Moller: vice-commodores —Messrs J. R. Blackie, T. Harridge, A. Montgomery, J. F. Blackie, W. Barker, R. Gregory, A. C. Hanlon, and E. Knewstubb; secretary, Mr P. Young: assistant secretary and treasurer, Mr R. Gregory; General CommitteeMessrs J. French. M. Hutton, F. Webber, W. French, G. Gergory, R. Graham, J. Donaldson, E. Monk, R. Cardno, J. O'Sullivan. E. Leach, R. Donaldson, E. Montgomery, D. Connor, C. French, P. Richdale; motor boat starters —Messrs H. Percy and G. - Gregory; motor boat handicappers—Messrs T. Harridge and L. Noes; yacht handieappers — Messrs Harridge, Cameron, and Asher; motor boat judges Messrs G. Gregory, P. Harridge, and W. Barker; yacht starter, Mr C. Smith : sailing boat "judges—Messrs J F. Blackie, C. Smith, and C. French; motor boat timekeepers—Messrs G. Gregory and P. Harridge; press steward, Mr T. Harridge; sailing boat, timekeepers—Messrs J. F. Blackie and C. Smith. It was decided to hold the regatta on February 13. It was also decided to ask the Mayoress (Mrs Blackie) to organise a Ladies' 'Committee to .*ll patriotic badges on regatta day. The meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to the retiring office-bearers, moved by Mr G. 11. Hicks, who paid them a well-deserved tribute for the able manner in which thev had carried out. their duties.
