ARIZONA ANTI-ALIEN LAW
HELD TO BE ILLEGAL. PROPOSED FEDERAL LEGISLATION. Press Association—By Tefegraph— Copyright. NEW YORK, January 7. The District Court of San Francisco held that the Arizona anti-alien law, prescribing a certain number of American employees in every business, is illegal. The British, Italian, and Japanese Ambassadors protested strongly against the law, which was thereupon referred to the courts. President Wilson is considering legislation with the object of preventing individual States from .passing anti-alien laws.
