Orows have now ceased to haunt the locality. A youth named Edward Kelly, a member of the Expeditionary Force now encamped at Trent-ham, appeared before Mr D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., at Tuesday's sitting of tho Wellington Magistrate's Court, charged with a breach of a probationary license issued at Dunodin. Tho defendant (says, tho Post) pleaded that ho had done nothing wrong. Ho had received permission to join the force, and ho had made arrangements to continue tho payment of 3s per week demanded under the license. Inspector Hendrey stated that he did not know what the conditions of tho license were, but instructions had been forwarded to arrest Kelly, and it was evident that some breach had been committed. Perh ips ibo breach had been committed quite unwittingly. His Worship said that he was inclined to believe tho young man's stary, and he granted a remand in order tnat further inquiries could bo made. «
