BRUCE WOOLLEN COMPANY
The 17th annual meeting of shareholders of the above company was hold at Milton on Wednesday. There were about a dozen shareholders present, and Mr Win. Moore (chairman of directors) presided. Tho annual report showed that the not profit earned during tho year was £4708 19s sd. Tho directors recommended a dividend of 6 ( per cent., that £1000 bo written off plant, and that £500 be transferred to reserve account.
The report and accounts were unanimously adopted without any questions being asked by shareholders.
The auditors (Messrs Jas. Brown and J. J. Lane) in the written report, commented that the past year's business had been good. Not only had the output increased, but thero had been considerable increase in the percentage of profit, and the balance sheet showed an improvement on last year's figures to tho extent of £100 2s 7d. The aoconnts were, kept in an exceedingly satisfactory manner, and thov were yearly afforded the strongest, evidence that the business of the company is being capably handled.. The retiring directors (Messrs \V. Moore and J. A. Duthie) were re-elected; also the retiring auditors, Messrs Jas. Brown and J. J. Lane.
