There were good supplies forward at the : hide sales to-day. Kips slightly favoured the buyers, otherwise there was a very fair S market. The following are the values of tho prin cipal exports of New Zealand produce d,ur ing the week ended September 22:—Butter £5325; cheese, £104; frozen beef, £1915 t gold, £13,051; grain and pulse, £662; hide and ekins, £16,142; kauri gum, £3509 ; flax and tow, £6268; tallow, £275; timbei £19,156; wool, £3340. b „ ; BUTTER AND CHEESE MARKETS, s Mr J. R. Scott, secretary of the South Island Dairy Association, reports that the » dairv produce campaign has about .ended " in the North Island. Buyers have paid lid # to Hid for butter outputs, but the demand ; has not been keen, and most of tho butter is being consigned to London. A little ■ moro than one-fourth of tho cheese outputs ; in the North Island, to end of March and - April has been sold at 6id to 6fd f.o.b. In the Sooth Island the highest offer at present for cheese outputs, October to end of April-May, is 6id on truck. Tho buyers have slackened off a little during the last week
