A mass meeting of operative bakers was held to consider the masters' proposals to start at 2 p.m. with a 48 horns week, or start at 11 p.m. and work 44 hours. These proposals were rejected, the meeting deciding not to work unless the dough, was ready between 8 and 10 o'clock in the morning. Both masters and men state that there ■will be plenty of bread available tomorrow. STRIKE DECLARED OFF. EMPLOYERS' TERMS ACCEPTED. SYDNEY, May 10. (Received May 11, at 0.45 a.m.) A mase meeting of bakers , , held to-day, decided to declare the -strike off, and agreed to accept the employers' proposal to start work at noon and work a 48-nours week The wages are to be fixed by the Wages Board.
