JUNIOR PACIFIC HARRIERS
A welkittended meeting was held in tho Y.M.C.A. Booms on Friday evening for the purpose of considering a proposal to form a junior harrier club. Mr Dawson (vicepresident of the Pacific Harrier dub) occupied the chair. The Chairman outlined the general scheme, and remarked that the senior members felt that many youths would feel disposed to join a junior harrier team, rather than membership with the senior body. It, wae proposed to have the juniors tinder the jurisdiction of the senior Harrier Club, but the juniors would arrange their own syallabus, •appoint their own officers, and manage their own affairs generally, receiving such guidance and assistance from the seniors as may be required. After tho advantages of such a step had been fully placed before tho meeting, Mr .Timms proposed that a team of junior Pacific Harriers be formed. The proposal was carried with enthusiasm, and the following officers 'elected for the ensuing year—Secretary, Mr J Harvey; treasurer, Mr O. Cumming; captain, Mr G Harvey; deputy-captain, Mr "W. D. Fraser; committee —Messrs W. Timms, B. Daweon, and G. Gardner. The opening run of the newly-formed club wae fixed for the 18th inst.
