NEW YORK, February 18.

An earthquake shook Reno City (Nevada). Hundreds were badly frightened, and rushed into the streets. Several apartment houses partially collapsed, pedestrians narrowly escaping.

The shock was also felt at Carson City (Virginia), where some damage was done, but not to a great extent.
