In the Upper House of Convocation, Canterbury, the Bishop of London (Dr Ingram) 'presented a petition signed by 675 of the clergy, expressing grave anxiety at the unchecked denial by those who held office in the Church of miracles, of the Lord's virgin birth, and the actual resurrection of the body from the tomb. The bishop gaVe notice that he would .table a motion at the next session of the Convocation declaring that action was necessary to allay the present widespread uneasiness.
