ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.

(Pbr Uhiixd Pasta Amociatiom.) CIIRISTCHURCII, February 18. At the Addington live stock market the yardings of stock were about equal to those of last week, and there was a fair attendance. Fat cattle sold without change, and, although fat lambs were irregular, there was little chango in values, except for heavy lambs, which were easier. Store sheep met with keen competition and pigs sold at advanced rates. Fat svtecp sold well at tho opening of the sale, and prices afterwards gave way.

Store sheep.—Rape l*mbs made 12s 6d to 16s 6d; others, 7s 6d to lis 3d; e\ye lambs, 15s and 15s 6d; twotooth ewes, 16s to 235; four, six, and eighttooth, 16s 6d to 20s; souna mouth, 14s to 18s; older awes, lis to 14s ocl; two-tooth wethers, lis to 14s 6d; medium two-tooth wethers, lis to 15s 6d; better sorts, 16s to 17s 3d; two and four-tootb, 14s 6d to 17s 9d.

Fat lambs.—Tegs made 19s to 20s 6d; extra, to 225; average freezing weights, 16s to 19s; light and unfinished, 14s 5d to 15s 6d.

Fat sheep.—Prime wethers made 21s to 23s 6d; extra, 755; others, 18s to 20s 6d; prime ewes, 16s to 22s sd; medium, 15s to 17s 6d; aged, light, 13s to 14s 6d.

Fat cattle.--Steers made £8 7s 6d to £11 10s; extra, to £14; heifers, £6 15s to £10 ss; cows, £5 to £9 15s.

Store cattle. —15 and 18-months' sorts made £3 5s to £3 8s; two-year steers, £4 8s fxl (passed); two-year heifers, £3 17s 6d to £4 4s; three-year heifers, £4 17s 6d to £5 Is; and dry cows, 37s 6d to £5 17s. Dairy cows made £3 15s to £12

Fat pigs.—Choppers made £3 10s to £4 15s; heavy baconers, £3 7s to £3 15s; lighter baconers, £2 15s to £3 ss, the price per lb being 5Jd to 6d. Heavy porkers made £2 5s to £2 10s; lighter porkers, £2 to £2 4s, the price per ib being 6d to 6£d.

Store pigs.—Largo stores made 42s to 535; medium, 3Cs to 41s; small, 24s to 355; small woaners, 14s upwards good, to 23s 4d.

WANGANUI RAM FAIR.

(Pen United Press Association.) WANGANUI, February 19. Tho Wanganui ram fair was held to-day. Some 1200 rams were offered. Lincolns were in better demand than last season, flock rams making from 2gs to Bgs, and stud rams to 41gs, for a ram of Mr W. W r ybourne's .breeding. Romneys were in moderate demand at from 2ge to 6fgs. Mr J. 0. Bidwill's entry averaged £6 4s. Border Leicesters sold freely at from 3gs to 6jgs, and Southdowns met with a strong demand at from. sgs to 13igs.

WOOL SALES.

(Pin United Phess Association.) INVERCARGILL, February 19. For the wool sales to-morrow 8222 bales are offering. For tho season 17,763 bales have been offered, as against 17,760 last year.

THE PROPERTY MARKET.

Messrs Alex. Harris and Co. submitted to auction, at their rooms yesterday, the right to the .unexpired term of lease of sections 27 and 28, block X, Dunedin, fronting Adam street (off Russell street), together with one four-roomed cottage and two threeroomed cottages and crib. The lease found a purchaser at £50.

PRODUCE REPORT.

The National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand report for the week ending February 19:—Wheat: A few sales i made' of now wheat from the north, but millers arc not large buyers at present. It will probably be two or threo weeks before much new grain will .be on ofFer. Fowl wheat has finned slightly owing to the scarcity of this quality. White velvet, 4s Id; Tuscan and red wheats. 4s; best whole fowl wheat, 3s lid; medium quality, 3s 6d to 3s 9d per bushel. Cats: There- has been more inquiry during tho last week, mostly for small lots for coastal trade. Locally the new season's oats arc not offering yet. Prime milling Cartons, Is lOd; good to best feed, Is 8d to Is 9d; inferior, Is 3d upwards. Chaff: Medium supplies have been coming to hand, but a large proportion of the consignments have not been of the very best quality. There is a faildemand for prime oaten chaff. New chaff has been on the market from the north, i ■* '*«• will P rol>a bly be some time before this offers from the south. Best black oats, £4 2s 6tli to £4 ss: best white oats, £3 17s 6d to £4 2s 6d ; inferior to medium, £2 15s to £3 15s. Grass seed: Very few samples have been on offer, and a large proportion of what 'has been on the market has been poor quality.. Good heavy seed is saleable at from Zs 2d to 2s 6d, ox rail. Dunedin. Barley: A few samples have been on offer from the Lakes district, but very few sales have been effected, as tho brewers her all hold considerable stocks. Prime malting, 3s 3d to 3s 9d ; feed barley, 2s 3d to 2s 6d. Potatoes: Medium supplies have been arriving, and prime tables are saleable at £4 10s per ton; inferior and medium quality (for which there is very little demand), £2 10s to £3 15s.
