A middle-aged Maori named Toko Wirihaua, whose wife is away from home, was found dead in bed in Cross street by a labourer named John Perry at 7.15 a ; m. today. Toko wad lying in a double bed, with the blankets soaked in blood, and a bloodstained razor was found near the body. The jugular vein had boon eeveml, and there wore two fihort, deep wounds in the neck. Last night Toko deemed calm and collected, and gave no indication that he contemplated taking hie life. WANOANLT.
