Tho Roslyn Club having made the Balk Cup an annual fixture (tho scores of two matches to decido the holders for the season), tho first match was played on the Balmacewen Green on Wednesday evening, eight rinks aside, and after an interesting and enjoyable contest Balmacewen -were 27 points up. After the match Mr Parata, M.P., who skipped a rink on behalf of Balmacewen, gave a short address eulogising the game of bowls, also a song in Maori which greatly delighted the bowlers.
