The Berliner Zeitung, on behalf of the Crown Prince, denies that he had any quarrel with General Mackensen, Commandant at Dantzig. The Crown Prince states he has been moved to Berlin in order to study for higher commands in the army. If an emergency arose he would have, a larger command than that of his regiment. CONTROVERSIAL OPINIONS. .BERLIN, January 12. (Received Jan. 12, at 11.40 p.m.) The Tagliche Rtodschau states that the reason why the Crown Prince was transferred from Berlin was the unsatisfactory relations with his military superiors, especially General Mackensen, whom the Kaiser selected as his eon's adviser. It is stated in Court circles that the Kaiser is determined to prevent the Crown Prince from making further political demonstrations. He considers the Crown Prince's encouragement of General von Deimling an act of disloyalty and a rebuff to himself. , The Radical newspapers declare that the Crown Prince is unfit to wear the Imperial Crown, and that the nation will not tolerate a Sovereign who as Crown Prince encouraged violence and illegality.
